There are essentially three wood-destroying insects which
can adversely affect the structural integrity of a home.

  1. Termites.
  2. Carpenter Ants.
  3. Powder-post Beetles.

An inspection for wood-destroying insects covers all three
of them. Even if a house has been treated for any of them
in the past, it is possible for a new infestation to be
present. This is especially true for Carpenter Ants.

Under a guaranteed inspection, if any of the three insects
are found live/active, the cost of the treatment is covered
by the termite company, provided the buyer closes on the
home. In addition, the buyer is covered against termite
infestations for up to one year and against carpenter ants
for ninety days. Coverage begins on the day of the Real
Estate closing.
